Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a global score of 68.7, which is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s 60.7 global score. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a newer device, and it is also way thinner and just a bit lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). These tablets come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a more recent 4.2.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1 version.
Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, although it has a much lower resolution of 600 x 1024, a little smaller display and a little bit lower display density. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a greater performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have a Dual-Core processor, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has more RAM memory and an extra GPU.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch takes a little bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a camera in the back with much more megapixels. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a slightly better storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 64 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a bit better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has an 11 percent bigger battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), but it's still a good choice, as you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
