Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a general score of 68.7, which is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's overall score of 67.8. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is older than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, it's design is extremely lighter and a little bit thinner. Both of these devices work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has the previous 4.2.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2.
The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a quite inferior count of pixels per inch of display, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 1280px resolution, the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 also counts with a bigger display. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a little bit better performance than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a lower number of cores (although faster), and they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with a faster graphics processor working at 1064 MHz.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a way bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 64 GB, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has 32 GB internal storage.
Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a 53 percent bigger battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. If you prefer to save some money, you can get Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
