Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has an overall score of 68.7, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0's 65.6 general score. Both of these devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has an older 4.2.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has Android 4.4.2. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is an older and somewhat heavier tablet than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, but Samsung could make it thinner anyway.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 counts with a brighter display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1280 x 800 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 also counts with a just a little greater pixel density. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because although it has 2 less processing cores (although they are faster), and they both have a 1,5 GB RAM memory, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.
Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 takes a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, although it has a back camera with much less MP and a lower 1280x720 (HD) video definition. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a much greater memory capacity for applications and games than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 64 GB, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has more internal memory capacity.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features just a bit better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has an 11 percent larger battery size.
Although Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a better device, it costs more than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab 4 7.0. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, letting go some specs and features.
