Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a little bit better than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, having a global score of 74.5 against 68.7. These tablets have Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a a lot newer device than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, although it's much heavier and a little bit thicker.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 and Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch count with quite similar displays, although the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also has a lot bigger display, a just a little better screen pixel density and a lot higher 1200 x 1920 resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a much better memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also has a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 400 GB.
Galaxy Tab A 10.5 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a greater number of cores and a greater amount of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a way better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a 7300mAh battery size.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a very superior camera than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a lot better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a much better resolution camera.
Although Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, resigning a couple features and specifications.
