Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, having a general score of 70 against 68.7. Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is noticeably newer than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, it's thicker and a lot heavier. Both of these tablets have Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has newer 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has a lower number of cores and slower and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional GPU. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab Active 2. They have an equal resolution of 800 x 1280px, a greater number of pixels per inch of display and a same size screen.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features just a bit more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB against 256 GB, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 features just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a lot better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a lot higher resolution camera in the back.
Galaxy Tab Active 2's battery duration is just as good as Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's battery duration.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Tab Active 2, otherwise you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, giving up some specifications.
