Comparison review
Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, with a 74.6 score against 68.7. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 construction has the same thickness than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, but it is notably heavier. Both tablets we are comparing use Android OS, but Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a newer 4.4 version while Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 version, providing you some nice extra features.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a much sharper display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a bigger display, a way better display pixels density and a lot better 1600 x 2560 resolution. Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a weaker GPU running at 450 megahertz, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and also faster) and 512 MB more RAM.
Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 counts with as much memory capacity to store more apps and games as the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch one, both of them have a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 64 GB and the same internal storage capacity. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch takes a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, although it has a lot worse 1280x720 (HD) video quality and a way less MP resolution camera.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a way better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has an 8220mAh battery capacity against 4450mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
