Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a score of 68.7, which is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia Tablet Z's 68.5 score. Both of these tablets work with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has 4.2.2 version while Sony Xperia Tablet Z has Android 4.4.4. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch body is incredibly lighter but just a bit thicker than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, and they were released with only 4 months difference.
The Xperia Tablet Z has a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels, a just a bit higher pixels count per inch in the display and a bigger screen. Xperia Tablet Z's storage capacity for applications and games is just as good as the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch one, both of them have a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 64 GB and the same 32 GB internal storage.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a little bit better processing power than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a better graphics processor working at 1064 megahertz. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch captures slightly better pictures and videos than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a much less mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and a way worse 1280x720 (HD) video resolution.
The Xperia Tablet Z has improved battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a 35 percent larger battery capacity.
