Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has a global score of 71.3, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's 68.7 score. Both of these tablets include Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has newer 4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 version, giving you a couple additional features. The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is a newer tablet, and it is also thinner and somewhat lighter than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch.
Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact counts with a much more vibrant screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also has a lot better 1920 x 1200 resolution and a higher amount of pixels per inch in the display. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a better memory for games and applications than Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that supports 64 GB smaller, it also counts with 16 GB more internal storage capacity.
Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact counts with a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a slower graphics processor running at 450 MHz, it also counts with a larger number of faster cores and a larger amount of RAM. The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact's battery lifetime is very similar to the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch one, although the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also has a 4500mAh battery size.
Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact captures a bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a way better resolution back-facing camera and a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.
Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact costs a little more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
