Comparison review
Xperia Z4 Tablet is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, getting a global score of 74.7 against 68.7. Both tablets in our current comparison include Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia Z4 Tablet has the newer 5.0 version while Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 version, so it provides a lot of extra features. The Xperia Z4 Tablet is a heavier but thinner portable tablet than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet counts with a way better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a lot higher screen density, a much higher 1600 x 2560 resolution and a larger display. Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet has a better processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a worse 600 megahertz graphics co-processor, it also counts with more RAM memory, a 64 bits processing unit and a larger number of cores.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet features a slightly better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage, the Xperia Z4 Tablet also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch takes clearer videos and photos than Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, although it has a way less megapixels resolution back camera and a lot worse video quality. Xperia Z4 Tablet counts with superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a 35% bigger battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
