Comparison review
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than the Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, getting a 67.9 score against 57.5. Both tablets we compare here work with Android OS (operating system), but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has 4.4 version while Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has Android 4.1, providing the user some additional features. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 design is newer and noticeably thinner, but also somewhat heavier than the Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a better processor than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has a larger amount of RAM and a larger number of cores. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much more vibrant display than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has a lot greater pixels number per inch of display, a larger display and a much higher resolution of 1600 x 2560px.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much better memory capacity to store more games and applications than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 56 GB more internal storage capacity. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 takes much clearer pictures and videos than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has a back-facing camera with a lot higher 8 megapixels resolution.
Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has a much better battery duration than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, giving up a couple specs and features.
