Although the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids were released only a few months apart, Microsoft Surface Pro 3's construction is much heavier but also just a little thinner than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro OS, and Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids comes with Android 4.1 OS.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a bit better CPU than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, and although they both have 2 cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has 7 GB more RAM. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a bit sharper screen than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has a much bigger display, a lot higher 1440 x 2160 resolution and a greater quantity of pixels per screen inch.
