Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is better than the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, getting a 68.7 score against 57.5. These tablets use Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a newer 4.2.2 version and GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has Android 4.1, so it provides the user a lot of extra features. Even though Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch and the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids were only released 3 months apart, Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's construction is just a bit heavier but also noticeably thinner than the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a better performing CPU than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has more RAM and an additional graphics processor. The GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has a bit sharper display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, although it has a little less pixels per inch of screen, a way lower 600 x 1024 resolution and a little smaller display.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a way bigger memory capacity for apps and games than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB and 24 GB more internal storage capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch captures a lot better videos and photos than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has a much more mega-pixels camera in the back.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features just a bit longer battery lifetime than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has a 4450mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a lot more expensive than the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
