Both tablets in this review include Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has older 4.1 version and Galaxy Tab 3 V has Android 4.4 version. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a extremely heavier tablet device than Galaxy Tab 3 V, but they have the same thickness.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V features a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a really smaller screen and a much lower resolution of 1024 x 600px, it also counts with a just a bit better screen pixel density.
