Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) is a bit better than Galaxy Tab 3 V, with a 60.4 score against 58.5. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has newer 5.1 Lollipop version and Galaxy Tab 3 V has Android 4.4, so it counts with a couple additional features. Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016)'s construction is somewhat lighter and thinner than the Galaxy Tab 3 V.
The Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a bit better CPU than Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has more processing cores and a larger amount of RAM. Galaxy Tab 3 V has a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), although it has a just a bit worse quantity of pixels per inch of display and a way lower resolution of 1024 x 600, they both have a display with the same size.
Galaxy Tab A (2016) captures much better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a lot better (HD) video quality and a much more mega pixels camera. The Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a much bigger memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 3 V, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) also has a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 200 GB.
Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a bit better battery performance than Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3600mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) is a better device, it costs more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, giving up a couple specs and features.
