Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), getting a score of 67.8 against 58.6. These devices come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has the older 4.4.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie. The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is a much older and a lot heavier tablet than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), but Samsung managed to make it somewhat thinner anyway.
Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a slightly better looking screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although it has a bit lower pixels density, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 also counts with a larger screen. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has 32 GB internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 1000 GB.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) counts with just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) also counts with 512 MB more RAM memory. The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a much better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 also has a much better 3 mega-pixels resolution back camera.
The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a much longer battery duration than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 costs a lot more money than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), but you can get a better tablet for that few more dollars.
