Comparison review
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, having a 67.9 score against 67.8. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a a lot lighter and a bit thinner tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, although both of them were released with only a couple months difference. These devices come with Android OS (operating system), but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has the previous 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has an incredibly better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot more pixels per display inch and a lot higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much bigger memory to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with more internal storage.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, and they both have 4 cpu cores, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a higher amount of RAM. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 captures slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a back camera with a way higher resolution.
The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a really longer battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
