The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 68.5, which is slightly better than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's 67.8 general score. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a noticeably lighter tablet than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, but they have the same thickness. Both of these tablets use Android OS, but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has the older 4.2.2 version while Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2 version.
