Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a global score of 70.8, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's 67.8 general score. These devices come with Android OS, but Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a more recent 5.0 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2. Google Nexus 7 (2013)'s construction is way lighter but just a bit thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and both were released only 8 months apart.
Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a little bit better performance than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a worse 400 megahertz graphics co-processor, and they both have 4 cores, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) also counts with a higher amount of RAM. Although Google Nexus 7 (2013) is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
