Google Nexus 9 has a score of 74.5, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's 67.8 global score. The Google Nexus 9 design has the same thickness than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, but it is somewhat lighter. Both of these tablets use Android OS (Operating System), but Google Nexus 9 has a more recent 5.0 version while Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2, so it provides some extra features and performance tweaks.
Google Nexus 9 features a quite better processing power than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a lower number of cores and doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a 64-bits CPU and 512 MB more RAM. The Google Nexus 9 has a much sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a much greater pixels density and a much higher resolution of 2048 x 1536.
Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features just a bit more memory capacity for apps and games than Google Nexus 9, because although it has only 16 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD card slot that holds up to 64 GB. The Google Nexus 9 counts with a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a much better video resolution and a back-facing camera with much more MP.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features just a bit better battery duration than Google Nexus 9, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity instead of 6700mAh.
Although Google Nexus 9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Google Nexus 9, otherwise you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, letting go a couple specs and features.
