Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has an overall score of 68.7, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's 67.8 general score. Despite of the fact that Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is older than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, it's body is way lighter and just a bit thinner. Both devices in this comparison review use Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has older 4.2.2 version and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has lesser cpu cores , and they both have the same RAM amount, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with a faster 1064 megahertz graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a little bit better looking display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a little bit less pixels per inch in the display, and they both have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 also counts with a bigger screen.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch shoots clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have the same (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a back camera with a much higher 5 mega pixels resolution. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a lot bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has 16 GB more internal memory capacity.
Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a really longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
