The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a score of 74.5, which is a bit better than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's 67.8 general score. Both of these tablets use Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2, so it provides the user lots of additional features. Galaxy Tab A 10.5's design has the same thickness than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, but it is just a bit heavier.

Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 counts with just a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, although it has a little bit smaller screen, a way lower pixel count per inch of screen and a lot lower 800 x 1280 resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a way better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a much more mega pixels back-facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a very superior memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 400 GB and 16 GB more internal storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a bit longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has 7300mAh of battery capacity.

Although Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, resigning some specifications.
