Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, getting a score of 70 against 67.8. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2's body is extremely newer and lighter than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's, although it is notably thicker. Both tablets in this comparison use Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with 1,5 GB more RAM memory and a higher number of faster cores. Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a little bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has a bit lower display density, and they both have the same 800 x 1280px resolution, the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 also counts with a larger display.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a very superior storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have exactly the same 16 GB internal memory, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a superior battery life than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 shoots much clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a much better resolution camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, giving up some specifications.
