Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, getting a score of 67.8 against 64.9. Both of these devices include Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has the older 4.4.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is older and heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, it's construction is still somewhat thinner.

The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, and although they both have 1,5 GB of RAM and a Quad-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 also has a graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because although it has a quite worse display pixel density, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 also counts with a larger display.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 counts with a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 also has a way higher resolution back camera. Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features a bit bigger memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 also has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a much better battery life than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because it has a 36% more battery capacity.
