Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a general score of 74.5, which is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's overall score of 67.8. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 body is somewhat thinner and notably lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, although both of them were released with only a couple months difference. These tablets use the same Android 4.4.2 OS, so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding that.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a much sharper display than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot more pixels per inch in the display and a lot better resolution of 2560 x 1600px.
