Comparison review
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has an overall score of 68.5, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's 67.8 overall score. Sony Xperia Tablet Z is an older and just a bit heavier tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, but Sony managed to make it thinner anyway. Both of these tablets have Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia Tablet Z has 4.4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2 version.
The Xperia Tablet Z has a more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have a same size display, the Xperia Tablet Z also has way more pixels per screen inch and a lot higher 1200 x 1920px resolution. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z counts with a bit better processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a weaker 400 megahertz GPU, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also counts with a greater amount of RAM.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a much better storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has 32 GB internal storage capacity. Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a bit longer battery life than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because it has a 6800mAh battery size.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z takes a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a much more mega-pixels back facing camera and a way higher (Full HD) video definition.
Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia Tablet Z, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, resigning some features and specs.
