Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is slightly better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, getting a global score of 65.6 against 62.8. Despite of the fact Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is older and somewhat thicker than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, it's construction is still lighter. These tablets have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has the older 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat version.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a CPU that's just as good as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 one, both of them have a 1,5 GB RAM and a Quad-Core processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 features a much more vibrant display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher display pixels density and a quite better 1280 x 800 resolution.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a very superior storage for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a SD extension slot that holds up to 128 GB and 16 GB internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 counts with a better camera than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, although it has a much worse 3 MP resolution back camera and a worse 1280x720 video definition.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a 5% more battery capacity.

Even being the best tablet of the ones we compare here, the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is also cheaper than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0.
