Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 3 is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, having a general score of 66.3 against 65.6. The Microsoft Surface 3 is a newer and a little bit thinner portable tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, although it's heavier. The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a bit faster processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface 3 also has a greater amount of RAM.
The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a way worse resolution of 1280 x 800, it also counts with a little better amount of pixels per inch of display. Microsoft Surface 3 features a much bigger memory for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 120 GB more internal memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 features a really longer battery life than Microsoft Surface 3. Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 shoots better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a back facing camera with a lot lower 3 megapixels resolution and a lot lower 1280x720 (HD) video resolution.
Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your money.
