Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a general score of 65.6, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s 60.7 global score. Both of these tablets have Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has newer 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1. The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 design is newer, lighter and somewhat thinner than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0).
Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 features a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have a display with the same size, the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 also has a better 1280 x 800 resolution and more pixels per inch in the display. Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 counts with just a bit better performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has 2 more cores and more RAM memory.
Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a much bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because although it has a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). Both of them have the same video quality, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and a 3 MP resolution back-facing camera.
The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) feature quite similar batteries.
The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 costs a little more money than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
