Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a global score of 68.7, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0's 65.6 global score. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has the previous 4.2.2 version and Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has Android 4.4.2. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is an older and heavier tablet than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, but Samsung managed to build it somewhat thinner anyway.
The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a better display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same 1280 x 800 resolution, the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 also counts with a just a little more pixels per screen inch. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with much more storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and although they both have an external SD slot that admits up to 64 GB, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has more internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a bit faster processor than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because although it has lesser processing cores , and they both have a 1,5 GB RAM memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with a graphics co-processor. The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 features a little bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, although it has a worse video definition and a camera with a much worse resolution.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has just a little bit longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a 4450mAh battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a better device, it is more expensive than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
