Both of these tablets use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has Android 4.4.2 version. Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is noticeably heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, it's thinner and also noticeably newer.

The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a greater number of cores and a greater amount of RAM memory.
