Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a global score of 65.6, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab E's 60.7 overall score. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0's construction is much lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab E, but it's a little thicker and was released about a year before. Both of these tablets work with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has newer 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab E has Android 4.4, providing the user some additional features and performance tweaks.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E features a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0. They have 1,5 GB of RAM memory and 4 processing cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a much sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab E, because although it has a really smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 1280 x 800, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 also counts with a better screen density.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 takes clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Tab E, although it has a worse 1280x720 (HD) video quality and a back-facing camera with way less megapixels resolution. Galaxy Tab E features more memory to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Galaxy Tab E also has a SD memory slot that supports up to 128 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E has longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
