Comparison review

Xperia Tablet Z is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, having a 68.5 score against 65.6. Both of these devices work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia Tablet Z has a more recent 4.4.4 version while Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has Android 4.4.2, so it counts with a lot of extra features and optimized performance. The Xperia Tablet Z body is way thinner than the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, although it is notably heavier and was released just a little further than a year before.

Xperia Tablet Z features just a bit better display than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a just a bit higher pixels count per display inch, a way bigger screen and a way better resolution of 1200 x 1920px. The Xperia Tablet Z has a bit faster CPU than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and although they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Xperia Tablet Z also has more RAM and an extra GPU.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 features a slightly better camera than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a camera in the back with a way worse resolution and a way worse (HD) video definition. Xperia Tablet Z features a much bigger storage to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 64 GB, the Xperia Tablet Z also has more internal storage capacity.

Xperia Tablet Z features a much longer battery performance than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a 6000mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.

Although Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 4 7.0. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
