Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a general score of 66.2, which is a little bit better than LG G Pad X 8.3's overall score of 61.1. Both tablets in this review work with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has older 4.4.2 version and LG G Pad X 8.3 has Android 5.0 version. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is an older portable tablet than the LG G Pad X 8.3, but Samsung was able to make it somewhat lighter and just a bit thinner anyway.
Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a bit better processor than LG G Pad X 8.3, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with 3 more cpu cores (although they are slower) and an additional graphics co-processor. The LG G Pad X 8.3 counts with a bit sharper display than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a quite larger display, a higher pixels density and a much better 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
LG G Pad X 8.3 has just a bit more memory capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have the same 16 GB internal storage capacity, the LG G Pad X 8.3 also has an external SD slot that allows up to 128 GB. LG G Pad X 8.3 takes better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a much more mega pixels camera in the back and a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.
LG G Pad X 8.3 features just a bit better battery performance than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a 4800mAh battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and the LG G Pad X 8.3 cost exactly the same.
