Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is much better than the Amazon Fire HD 7, having a 66 score against 53.9. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is a just a bit lighter and much thinner tablet than Amazon Fire HD 7, although they were only released 6 months apart. Both devices in our current comparison have Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has 4.4.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 7 has Android 4.4 version, so it counts with a couple additional features and some performance improvements.

Amazon Fire HD 7 has a little sharper display than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1280 x 800px, the Amazon Fire HD 7 also counts with a just a bit better number of pixels per inch of screen. Amazon Fire HD 7's processing unit is just as good as the processor in Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although the Amazon Fire HD 7 has a lower amount of RAM memory and doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, they both have a Quad-Core processor.

The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a very superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 7, because it has 8 GB more internal memory capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 64 GB. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a much better camera than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (HD) video quality, the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also has a back camera with a lot higher resolution.

The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a very superior battery life than Amazon Fire HD 7.

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is a little more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 7, but you can get a much better tablet for that few more dollars.
