The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4G LTE, with a 67.9 score against 53.3. Both of these tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a newer 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 4G LTE has Android 2.2, so it gives you a couple additional features. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 design is newer, notably thinner and just a little bit lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4G LTE.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 4G LTE, because it has a way higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, a larger screen and a way higher display pixel density. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a very superior hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 4G LTE, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a greater number of cores (and they are faster).

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4G LTE, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 takes clearer pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4G LTE, because it has a much more megapixels back camera and a way better 1920x1080 video definition.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4G LTE features a way better battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4G LTE, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
