Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, getting a 67 score against 63.5. Even being the best we compare here, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a thicker and heavier tablet than the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE. Both devices we compare here have Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has the newer 4.4 version and Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE has Android 4.0 version.
Galaxy Tab Active counts with a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because it has a greater amount of RAM, a better graphics processing unit working at 450 MHz and a larger number of cores (but slower). The Galaxy Tab Active and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE feature quite similar screens, because although the Galaxy Tab Active has a bit worse pixels density, and they both have the same 1280 x 800px resolution, it also counts with a quite larger screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has just a bit bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also has a SD extension slot that holds up to 64 GB. Galaxy Tab Active captures much clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, although it has a worse (HD) video quality and a lower resolution camera.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE counts with a little better battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 5100mAh battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
