Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is a bit better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, having a global score of 70.2 against 67.9. These devices work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has a newer 8.1 Oreo version while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 version, so it provides a couple nice extra features. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) body is newer, but just a little thicker and a lot heavier than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a way better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater count of pixels per inch of screen and a higher 1600 x 2560px resolution.
