The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is better than LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus, getting a global score of 70.2 against 62.5. Both tablets in this review use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has 8.1 Oreo version and LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus has Android 7.0 Nougat, so it counts with a lot of extra features. Although Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is a better tablet than the LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus, we must note that it's also older, incredibly heavier and thicker.

Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has a bit faster CPU than LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus. They have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processor. LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus has a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1200 x 1920px resolution, the LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus also counts with a higher count of pixels per inch of display.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) features a very superior camera than LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) also has a way more MP back-facing camera.
