The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is a lot better than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, getting a overall score of 70.2 against 57.5. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has newer 8.1 Oreo version while GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has Android 4.1, so it gives you a lot of extra features. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016)'s design is noticeably newer and somewhat thinner than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids's, although it's also incredibly heavier.
