Both of these tablets work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has newer 8.1 Oreo version and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2, providing the user lots of additional features. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is a much newer tablet device than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, although it is a little heavier and a little bit thicker.
