Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is better than the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, getting a general score of 70.2 against 63.5. These tablets have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has newer 8.1 Oreo version while Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE has Android 4.0, so it provides the user lots of additional features and performance improvements. Although it's the best tablet device we are comparing here, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) design is just a little bit thicker and heavier than Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE.

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE has a little bit better screen than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), although it has a way smaller display, a just a little worse screen density and a way lower 800 x 1280 resolution. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) features much more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) also has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 200 GB.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) counts with a bit better processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores and more RAM. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has a way better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because it has a 43 percent larger battery capacity.
