The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab Active, having a global score of 70.2 against 67. Both of these devices include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has newer 8.1 Oreo version and Galaxy Tab Active has Android 4.4 version, giving you some nice extra features. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) body is newer and thinner than the Galaxy Tab Active's, although it's also much heavier.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) features a bit better processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with 512 MB more RAM and a greater number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a little sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), although it has a little bit inferior pixels number in each inch in the display, a much smaller display and a way worse resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) takes much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a much higher video resolution and a back-facing camera with a lot better resolution. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) features a better memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) also has a SD card slot that supports up to 200 GB.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) counts with a very superior battery duration than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 7300mAh of battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.
