The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), getting a 74.3 score against 70.2. Despite of the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is older than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), it's construction is somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter. Both of these devices work with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has the previous 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has Android 8.1 Oreo.

Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 also has a higher amount of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a lot better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), because it has a better pixel density, a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 and a little bigger display.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) shoots better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab S 10.5. Both of them have the same (Full HD) video resolution, a same resolution camera in the back and the same video frame rate. The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with a bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), because although it has an external SD slot that allows 72 GB smaller, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features just a little bit longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), because it has 7900mAh of battery capacity instead of 7300mAh.
