The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) is much better than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, getting a score of 76.7 against 67.8. These tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) has an older 11 version while Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019)'s body is extremely newer, a little bit lighter and just a bit thinner than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1.
The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), although it has a much worse pixels density and a way lower resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, they both have a same size display. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) features a much better memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has more internal memory and a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) has a bit better CPU than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with 1,5 GB more RAM and a larger number of faster cores. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) features a greater camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a way more mega-pixels back camera and a lot higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition.
The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a bit better battery performance than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity against 6150mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019), else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, letting go some features and specifications.
