Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), getting a 76.7 score against 69. These tablets use the same Android 11 operating system, so you shouldn't see any difference regarding that. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019)'s design is just a bit thinner but noticeably heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), and both of them were released only a couple months apart.
