Both of these tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) has an older 11 version and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has Android 4.4.2 version. Although Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) is notably newer than the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, it's thicker and a bit heavier.
