Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is much better than the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), getting a score of 74.5 against 62.4. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 comes with Android 9.0 Pie operating system, and Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) has Android, Amazon Fire UI operating system. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 construction is thinner than the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), although it's a little bit heavier and was released a little bit more than a year before.
The Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) has just a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, although it has lesser RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) features a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution, the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) also counts with a bit better pixels count in each display inch.

Although Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019). So if you need that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab A 10.5, else you can save some dollars and buy the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), giving up some features and specs.
