Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a global score of 74.5, which is a little bit better than Google Nexus 9's overall score of 74.5. Both tablets in this review include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Google Nexus 9 has Android 5.0, so it provides you a couple nice extra features and some performance improvements. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 body has the same thickness than the Google Nexus 9, but it's heavier.
The Google Nexus 9 features a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and 6 lesser cpu cores , it also counts with a 64 bits processing unit. The Google Nexus 9 counts with a way better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 2048 x 1536px and a greater pixel density.
Galaxy Tab A 10.5 counts with a lot bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Google Nexus 9, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal memory, the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 400 GB. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 captures much better pictures and videos than Google Nexus 9, and although they both have the same video frame rates, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same resolution back facing camera, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also has a lot larger camera aperture to take better photos in poorly lited situations.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a bit better battery performance than Google Nexus 9, because it has a 9% more battery size.
Although Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Nexus 9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Nexus 9. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Google Nexus 9, resigning some specs and features.
