The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has a global score of 75.5, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5's general score of 74.5. Both devices in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has the previous 8.0 Oreo version and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has Android 9.0 Pie. The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 construction is a lot lighter and a little thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, even when both were released with only a couple of months difference.
Huawei MediaPad M5 8 counts with a more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a better 1600 x 2560 resolution and a much better count of pixels per inch of display. Huawei MediaPad M5 8 features a bit better CPU than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei MediaPad M5 8 also has a larger amount of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a bit better camera than Huawei MediaPad M5 8, because although it has a way worse resolution camera in the back, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to take better photography and videos in low-light environments.
