The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a little bit better than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, with a 74.5 score against 74.5. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)'s construction has the same thickness than the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, but it is just a bit heavier. These tablets work with Android OS, but the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has the previous 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has Android 9.0 Pie version.

The Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with a much more vibrant display than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher 1600 x 2560 resolution and a higher pixel density. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with a little bit better performance than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has 4 lesser CPU cores (although faster), and they both have a 3 GB RAM, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.

Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a much bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), because it has an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB and more internal storage capacity. Galaxy Tab A 10.5 captures a lot better photos and videos than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). Both of them have the same (Full HD) video definition, a 8 megapixels resolution back camera and the same video frame rates.

GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a bit superior battery life than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because it has an 8220mAh battery capacity against 7300mAh.

Although Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a better device, it is a bit more expensive than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab A 10.5. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), else you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, giving up a couple features and specifications.
